A Union Pacific Freight train pulls through the crossing at historic Funks Grove Illinois just off of Route 66. The railcars carrying containers are pulled by engine 5431 and 5757. Engine 5431 is a GE C45ACCTE (ES44AC) with an operating weight of 416,000 lbs. and engine 5757 is a GE C44ACCTE (AC4400CW) with 4400 horsepower .

Hi. I've lived my life in the Central Illinois region, both in a small city and in rural areas. I was drawn to photography early in life, around 6 years of age by my older brothers 3rd grade teacher who spent an afternoon showing us how to develop black and white photos in her dark room.
