High Dynamic Resolution is a process which in its pure form is the merging of 3 or more exposure bracketed images into one image with the intent to make one image that is more stunning than any of the originals. Software also makes this possible by manipulating the aspects of a single image. Results vary and are strictly up to the artists skill, senses, and feelings. Some will just even out an exposure bringing up the shadows and bringing down the highlights. Other boost color saturation, sharpness or add artistic elements like blur.
